KiKS: Kids’-Culture-Summer

KiKS: Kinder-Kultur-Sommer is a new intiative sponsored by the city of Munich. The event lasts from July 16 to September 9 and is appropriate for children between the ages of 7 to 15. The goal of the KiKs intiative is to provide opportunities for children and teenagers to experience and participate in the many aspects of culture and the arts. KiKs is organized into 8 “islands”. The themes of each “island” are as follows: 1) Circus & Movement Arts; 2) Sport & Games; 3) Environment & Sustainability; 4) Words & Knowledge; 5) Travel; 6) International & Integration; 7) Music & Stage, and; 
Art & Media. Activities and workshops in each area go on all summer long.
The kickoff weeks (July 16 -26) occur in the Schulzeit at Olympiapark. From July 28 - September 9, activities occur in various locations throughout the city. You ahould register on or before July 2.
